Smartly Connected 6G Infrastructure · Chaining Innovation for the Bay Area's Future | Tozed Kangwei: Driving Dual Engines of 6G+AI into the New Track of the Internet of Everything

Date: 2026.09.03

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area 6G Industry Development Conference & 2026 AI + Future Industries Innovation Conference was held in Guangzhou from September 1 to 3, 2026. Under the theme “Empowering 6G Connectivity · Shaping the Future of the Greater Bay Area — Driving Comprehensive Industrial Innovation with 6G + AI,” the conference brought together stakeholders from government, industry, academia, research, and application sectors to explore pathways for the deep integration of 6G and artificial intelligence, and to envision the modernization of the information and communications industry during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

6G is set to break down the traditional boundaries between communications, sensing, and digital technologies, enabling the integrated convergence of communication, sensing, and control. With uplink speeds expected to increase by 5–10 times compared with 5G, 6G will provide robots and intelligent agents with stronger real-time interaction capabilities, enabling AI to evolve from “thinking” to “acting.” This will support autonomous collaboration among devices in demanding scenarios and help address the practical challenges of deploying AI in real-world applications.

As a pervasive general-purpose technology, 6G is expected to have an impact far beyond traditional internet connectivity, reshaping productivity and production relations while giving rise to a wide range of new industries and business models. In line with the industry development roadmap, 6G is expected to enter commercial deployment around 2030, closely aligning with key milestones in China’s modernization strategy.

As an important participant in the communications terminal industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangzhou Tozed Kangwei Technology Co., Ltd. took an active part in the conference, with David Jiang, Vice President of Tozed Kangwei, delivering a keynote speech. Tozed Kangwei is also working with China Unicom Guangdong to explore innovative applications integrating U6G networks with embodied robotics.

Built around China Unicom Guangdong’s U6G trial network architecture and leveraging Tozed Kangwei’s mass-produced Pioneer CPE terminals, the two sides are advancing terminal adaptation, network testing, and embodied robotics scenario validation. They are conducting real-world testing of key performance indicators including high bandwidth, low latency, and industrial-grade reliability, establishing an end-to-end pathway connecting network capabilities, terminal hardware, and AI applications. These efforts are generating valuable first-hand experience for the smooth evolution from 5G-Advanced toward 6G.

At the conference, Huang Zhenjiang, a senior expert at Tozed Kangwei, was appointed as one of the first experts in the Guangdong Communications Industry Intelligent Terminal Expert Pool. In this role, he will participate in industry discussions and contribute practical insights from the communications terminal sector.

Rooted in the Greater Bay Area’s vibrant industrial ecosystem, Tozed Kangwei has long been dedicated to broadband intelligent terminals while proactively investing in key technologies such as integrated communication and sensing and edge AI. Building on its accumulated expertise in hardware R&D and its global channel strengths, the company continues to explore innovative approaches to 6G + AI edge-side integration.

Looking ahead, Tozed Kangwei will continue to follow the development roadmap of China’s 6G industry, work closely with industry, academia, and research partners across the value chain, strengthen the hardware foundation of intelligent terminals, and focus on real-world industry needs. By doing so, the company aims to help the Greater Bay Area seize new opportunities in next-generation communications and contribute its expertise to industrial innovation in the era of intelligent connectivity for everything.
