Advancing Intelligence Together | China Unicom and Tozed Kangwei Join Forces to Build a New 6G Device-Network Collaborative Communications Ecosystem

Date: 2026.09.30

Recently, at the 2026 China Unicom Partner Conference, the Terminal AI-Native Connectivity and Device-Network Collaborative Communications Industry Alliance was officially launched under the theme “Advancing Together with Intelligence, Connecting a New Computing Power Ecosystem.” As one of the first partners, Tozed Kangwei was invited to participate, joining China Unicom and industry partners to explore innovative applications of 6G device-network collaborative communication agents. Jiang Han, Vice President of Tozed Kangwei, was invited to attend the launch event.

At the conference, China Unicom unveiled its “6G Device-Network Collaborative Communications Agent Ecosystem Co-Building Action Plan.” With Guangdong as the initiative’s starting point, the plan aims to establish China’s first hub for large-scale validation and industrial incubation of 6G device-network collaboration. Led by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Innovation Research Institute, the initiative brings together terminal manufacturers, equipment providers, and research institutions to form a device-network collaborative agent development task force. The team will establish a unified technical foundation to support diverse, differentiated device-network collaborative services.

The initiative focuses on three key areas: experience assurance, parameter coordination, and capability invocation. It also establishes four co-development mechanisms covering joint standards development, trusted data sharing, scenario co-development, and shared outcomes. Following a development approach of “6G concepts, 5G validation,” the initiative has developed a 6G device-network collaborative prototype, connecting the full workflow from scenario awareness, analysis and decision-making, subscription confirmation, and acceleration execution to closed-loop monitoring. Validation is being carried out across scenarios including live streaming, gaming, IoT, and large-scale venues.

As one of the first partners, Tozed Kangwei has completed the joint development of an IoT U6G CPE and is participating in device-network collaborative technology validation, leveraging its extensive expertise in communications terminals. Going forward, China Unicom and Tozed Kangwei, together with other industry partners, will continue to advance AI-native connectivity innovation, contribute to the development of next-generation communications, and accelerate the industrialization of 6G-related technologies.
